God Is Limitless

Diane Epling

If you quickly glanced at the title of this blog, I encourage you to take another look. Now, read those three words slowly, this time with more thought and purpose. GOD IS LIMITLESS! No, really, GOD IS LIMITLESS! I’m not sure we can grasp the true scope of God’s love, wisdom, power, grace, and mercy. If we were, there would be no more shame, guilt, doubt, sickness, or anything negative in our world. God has clearly shown us in His Word that all things are possible. (Mark 10:27 NIV) Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

If your mind stopped after “With man this is impossible…” you are limiting God and yourself. Look that the rest of the verse qualifies further what God is trying to tell us. Nothing is impossible when we are with God. Notice it doesn’t say “FOR” God. It says “WITH” God. When we seek to be with God, spend time with God and get intimate with God, He gives us limitless possibilities.

Oh, but how we limit our Lord with our lack of faith, our small vision and incomplete knowledge, and our inability to understand God’s character. If you genuinely desire to know God’s character, understand the full scope of his power, and achieve what your mind considers to be the impossible, then get out of the world and into God’s Word. (Romans 12:2 NIV) says, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.

If you don’t know it yet, we are in the midst of a spiritual battle with the enemy. The battleground isn’t in a foreign land, and it isn’t fought with heavy artillery and sophisticated weaponry. Not this battle. This battle contains the most soldiers and is the most prolonged battle ever fought. Every person is engaged in their own private mind war, with words that speak to their souls and control their behaviors—even if you are a Christian.

If you do not have an intimate relationship with God—if you are not walking in God’s spirit, your mind is speaking a language out of harmony with God’s plan for your life. When you are out of step with God’s vision for your future, you are limiting His power to transform your life. Instead of speaking from the loving heart of God, you speak to yourself from an often misleading or misinformed intellect. Since God has given us free will, he will never control our thoughts or actions. And so, we wander in a wilderness of our own creation, wondering why God isn’t listening, why He isn’t answering our prayers.

What if I told you that God ALWAYS hears and answers your prayers? It is only the limitations we impose on ourselves that make it impossible for us to experience the richness of God’s blessings. How do you stop? Well, I thought you’d never ask! You spend time with God. You get alone with God. You do more than read the Bible—you study His Word and apply it to your life. You trust and obey God. In (Proverbs 29:28 NIV) God tells you what to do. (Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction. You say you want to enjoy God’s limitless possibilities? Then be WITH God. Seek His revelations, and suddenly you will begin to have greater understanding of His truths. Rid yourself of the negative thoughts and words controlling your beliefs and behaviors. Ask God to direct your path and teach you in all His wisdom.

Lastly, do more than just believe IN God. The enemy believes in God! Believe God. Know that what He teaches is truth, and then all things will be made possible to you when you are resting in the loving arms of the Almighty. I can’t wait to hear about the gifts God is about to bestow upon you. Please get in touch with me and share what God is doing in your life so we can all celebrate and rejoice in your transformation.
