Finding That Secret Place to Spend TIME WITH GOD
The love I share with God today is as new and fresh as it was the day I gave my entire heart to Him. That love hasn’t faded. I haven’t grown weary of trying to please Him. If anything, my love for God grows stronger every day. To this day, I cannot wait to enter my home, fall into my “God” chair, take a full breath, and say, God, finally, oh finally! It’s just You and me. It’s great. I’m so glad to have You all to myself, Lord. I love you. I feel His presence so strongly, and He envelopes me with overwhelming peace and joy.
There is something to be said for having a secret place to meet with God and a “God” chair that takes center stage in your own private Holy of Holies. The world cannot enter the door of your private meeting place. God fills the room and your heart with so much love there is no space left for earth’s troubles and outside worries. That’s what it’s like to be intimate with God. It is significant, fulfilling, glorious! That is what God wants you to experience with Him.
It is in this private chamber where God’s glory dwells. More than in a church building and greater than what you can experience from a religious ritual, God’s glory dwells within you, in that private place where you can turn over your whole heart to Him. When we allow God to dwell in us, when we walk in His Spirit, we are one with Him. He is waiting to give you some “wow” moments, just as He does with me!

If you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

Get in Your God Chair and Get to Know God’s Heart
Reading and studying God’s word every day in your “God Chair,” will suddenly give the Scriptures you may have read a hundred times new meaning. The Bible is a living, breathing book that has as much power and impact today as it did when it was written. If you want to know God’s character, read the Bible. If you want to see the strength and depth of God’s love for you, read the Bible. If you want to know how to live beyond the cross, read the Bible. Couple prayer with reading and studying God’s Word, and He will give you special revelations of wisdom and knowledge.
