Do you have a special place and time set aside to get intimate with God?

Diane Epling

I find it sad that many of us are not being taught in today’s churches about God’s true character, about how much He loves us. Sure, we have heard the words, but our leaders frequently fall short in their messages to present the full measure of God’s intended message. For this reason, we all must do more than simply read Scripture on Sunday mornings and depend on the pastor to deliver what he or she interprets to be the truth. To fully understand God’s message on a deeper level, it is necessary to find a private place to be alone with God in prayer. If you want to know what God has in store for your life, surrender your life to Him. Go deep with God; study His word every day in your private place. Get intimate with the Lord.

God awaits you in your secret place for your intimate meeting with Him. This private place should only be between you and God. There are no other people allowed in your sacred meeting place—the Holy of Holies. Just as the High Priest met with God in the Holy of Holies, this is the place where we have intimacy with God. I promise you, find your sacred place to meet with God, and He will be there waiting for your union.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
