Do you believe you have to do things to earn God’s love? If so, does that mean that those who seem to do more are loved more by God?

We don’t have to DO anything to earn God’s love. We are already doing because we are the people He created us to BE. Being is doing. God knew our identity from the very beginning of creation, and He remembers how we are formed. We don’t have to DO anything to BE who God created us to BE.

We walk with Him as one. Our identity is in Him. We are children of God, not because of what we do but because of who He designed us to be. You might say, we BE in order to DO! It is comforting to know that no matter how good we are, we cannot earn God’s love. Why is that, you ask? Well, on the other hand, no matter how bad we are, we cannot lose His love. God doesn’t stop loving us because we are disobedient sinners; He loves us because we belong to Him and have since the beginning of time.  So, stop trying to be perfect, it’s an impossible task. Only Jesus was perfect! Instead, give your imperfections to God and let him turn your weaknesses into strengths.
